Meeting Recap: Gear Up for Winter with Direct Tire – December 14, 2016

MBC members Direct Tire & Auto Service hosted a holiday breakfast at their new Medway location. A crowd of MBC members and prospective members filled the showroom to chase away the chill with piping hot beverages and yummy larger-than-life muffins from the Muffin House Cafe’. All while catching up with colleagues and meeting new contacts.

Store manager Doug Smith and Assistant Manager Tim Haynes shared lots of winter car care tips and provided crucial advice about the best types of tires for New England winters. They’d be happy to fill you in, too. Just stop in for some friendly advice from these knowledgeable pros.

Then it was time to test our knowledge with some trivia questions. Correct answers were rewarded with prizes – and there were more to come. Door prize giveaways included free oil changes from Direct Tire, ski packs provided by WMRC and a car emergency safety kit courtesy of the MBC. It was a festive, fun and informative event. Many thanks to all who contributed! If you’re a member and would like to host a networking event at your location or contribute to a meeting in any way, contact an MBC Board Member.

To cap off the successful event, attendees donated 42 coats to Anton’s Cleaners Coats for Kids program, which is New England’s largest coat drive. If you weren’t able to donate at the event, there’s still time! Just take gently used coats for adults, children and infants to any Anton’s Cleaners by January 6. The closest location is Route 109 in Medfield. Anton’s will clean the coats before they are distributed to local individuals in need.
