New Year Brings Changes to MBC Board

Carolyn Chodat, owner of Classic Properties Realtors, has chosen to step down from the MBC Board on which she has served for many years – as President, Secretary and Director. She continued to serve on the Board when other volunteers were in short supply. Carolyn has been a champion of small businesses and the Business Council throughout her time on the Board and as a member. She extended her advocacy to the Design Review Committee and Economic Development Committee, where she served as a representative of the MBC.

Carolyn shared that, “it truly was a pleasure to serve for the years that I did. I am gratified that the MBC
brought me, our Board and our members in contact with other business owners in town. The MBC is a wonderful organization that helps develop relationships, camaraderie, support and respect between local businesses. Getting to know each other brings business to each other through referrals. It also gives us, as small businesses, a stronger and more united voice to be heard in Town Hall.”

The Board thanks Carolyn for her service and wishes her well. While she is no longer on the Board, Carolyn is still an active MBC member and we hope to see a lot of her at our events.

Heather JohnsonThe Board has appointed Heather Johnson, Vice President in the Commercial Lending Department of Charles River Bank, to serve the remainder of Carolyn’s term. Heather will head up the new membership initiatives for the MBC. She looks forward to reaching out to the community and generating excitement about the programs and benefits the Medway Business Council can provide to our members. With 25 years of commercial lending and business development experience, Heather has extensive contacts in the community and is excited to generate more. If you have questions or ideas, please feel free to contact her at 508-321-3132 or hjohnson@charlesriverbank.com.

The Board welcomes Heather to the team and looks forward to working with her!
