Dear MBC members and future members:
It’s been a challenging year, to say the least, and I’m so pleased to announce that our 2021 Annual Meeting is IN PERSON, and you are invited!
Join fellow business owners on June 9th from 5-7 p.m. at the Medway VFW on Holliston Street to laugh and learn and share war stories, enjoy some light refreshments from Pangea Cuisines, and pose for an exciting “We are back!” group photo by Tim Rice for local marketing.
With your support, we have kept the MBC flag flying during this pandemic working as a team, and I’m immensely proud of making it through last year with a steady increase in members. Now that all of us can get vaccinated (please do before the meeting!), we are ready to come back stronger and savvier, together.
Thank you to the leadership team of MBC. We have certainly needed to be smart and strategic as we continued our monthly programming virtually, and even used time wisely to reach out and increase our membership during a pandemic, welcoming some fabulous new Medway business leaders to our membership and to our 2021 board, which will be voted in this evening. Thanks to the leadership of Wayne Texeira and John Haddad, we’ve launched our first-ever townwide business directory at medwaybusinessdirectory.com, and we’ve planned some pretty fun socials, and launched the first ever “21 Days of Giveaways” promotion in January to encourage local shopping, and Medway Restaurant Week in April to support our local caterers and restaurants with the cooperation of the Town of Medway and the Economic Development Committee. Liz Shea has kept the #ShopMedway campaign humming along with great social media content and the addition of a new Instagram presence (@shopmedway).
Many thanks, too, to Laura Logan, secretary; John Parrella, treasurer; and board members Art Prutsalis, Faina Shapiro, Tonia Marin and Tom Reardon for the assist on all things MBC… as well as Clint McHoul for his Scholarship Committee leadership during a pandemic, too.
With new faces joining our board in the fall of 2021, watch for even more ways to promote Medway businesses, and support each other. We are back, baby- come join us to celebrate on June 9th and register today (deadline: June 6th to register)!
- Julie Dennehy, President, Medway Business Council
